According to Verdantix's report, Green Quadrant: Sustainable Technology Services (Global), 2013, TCS is ranked as a Leader as a result of the company's expertise in manufacturing plant energy systems, renewable energy systems, residential smart meters, and data center energy management.

"To be named as a Global Leader is indeed recognition of our efforts in enabling customers drive sustainable growth through innovative services while de-coupling TCS' own business growth from environmental impact," said Lakshminarasimhan Srinivasan, Global Head, TCS' Eco-sustainability Services.

"TCS has invested significantly to build on its strong track record in corporate sustainability and has created a dedicated sustainability practice, and during the last 12 months has also enhanced its energy management and environmental capabilities in numerous specialist areas," said Verdantix in a press release.

"We see great potential in TCS' service portfolio. In just two years they have grown remarkably to emerge among those in the leaders quadrant this year," said Phil Sayer, Principal Analyst, from Verdanix.

"While TCS received two "best-in-class" scores for their manufacturing plant energy solutions, they also have significant growth potential in Real Estate Energy Management and Environmental Management systems, which suggests that TCS should continue to be a leading sustainability service provider over both the near and long term," added Sayer.
