Amtex sets up development center in Chennai

CHENNAI: US-based Amtex Systems Inc., is setting up a development center in Chennai.

The Chennai center, its largest offshore delivery facility, would employ over 350 people and would ramp up to 1000 people over the next two years. Amtex also announced investment plans of more than Rs.100 crores over the next two years.

According to Sunny Pokala, chairman & CEO, Amtex, “The timing of the Indian entry and our aggressive plans here are strategic, as it comes at the right time in the evolution of the organization. Moreover, it follows establishment of a very strong front-end in crucial user markets like the US and Europe. We have a distinctly differentiated IT services model and we are betting on our Indian facility and presence to drive our growth into the next level.”

Headquartered in New York, Amtex focuses on defining, optimizing and aligning customer's business and IT strategies as per the changing dynamics of the environment, it said in a press release.
