AMD releases new processor

BANGALORE: AMD has launched Athlon XP processor 2800+, featuring an advanced 333 front-side bus (FSB). With data throughput gains of up to 25 percent, the processor, latest in Athlon stable is said to boost performance across the board on real-world applications. It also simultaneously launched the AMD Athlon XP processor 2700+ with the advanced 333 FSB.



Desktop systems featuring the AMD Athlon XP processor 2800+ targeted at PC enthusiasts and gamers are expected to be available in late November from PC manufacturers ABS, Alienware, Falcon Northwest, MicronPC and Voodoo PC.
