BANGALORE: Alopa Networks has announced that Susquehanna Communications

(SusCom) has signed an agreement to deploy Alopa's MetaServ Provisioning

Platform across its expansive broadband network. SusCom will use the platform to

qualify, provision, activate, and mediate current services and in the future,

and can deploy next-generation service offerings like video on demand and voice

over IP across its expansive infrastructure. After reviewing many solutions in

the marketplace, SusCom chose Alopa MetaServ as the best solution that addressed

their existing high-speed data needs and provided a clear path for their future

plans.

As part of the agreement, SusCom will be allowed to use Alopa's integrated

client-side PC qualification software to expedite the self-provisioning process.

The CD-Rom or web based software quickly identifies and pre-qualifies a users

computer for broadband service, ensuring only users whose equipment can support

broadband service go through the activation process. The pre-qualification

process saves precious time, money, and valuable field resources not to mention

frayed customer nerves.

"We are absolutely delighted to have been selected by Susquehanna

Communications as their service management and provisioning platform," said

Alopa Networks, managing director Vijaya Verma. "SusCom's profile in the

industry makes this an important win for Alopa Networks. We look forward to

contributing to the ongoing success of SusCom as new data services are

deployed."
