Alopa introduces VoIP CMS support

NEW DELHI: Alopa Networks, provider of

fully integrated broadband subscriber solutions and operational support systems

(OSS) applications, has announced the introduction of VoIP Call Management

Server (CMS) support.

The addition of this new CMS support to its MetaServ suite of broadband

provisioning solutions allows Alopa to offer Multi-Service Operators (MSOs), for

the first time, a complete PacketCable-based end-point provisioning system with

voice capabilities.

The enhanced MetaServ platform with CMS support was featured recently at the

cable industry's Western Show CableNET technology exposition, which was held at

California.

"The Alopa CMS provisioning capability enables MSOs to provision voice

services over cable with the same ease Alopa solutions bring to provisioning of

broadband data services for their subscribers," said Alopa Networks vice

president (Engineering) and managing director, Vijaya Verma, of. "Adding

voice to their portfolio of cable services gives these MSOs the opportunity to

present a complete array of communications options to their customer base that

increases customer satisfaction while improving their own revenue stream",

he added.
