Allworx to feature new IP Phones for SMBs

ROCHESTER,USA:Allworx, which develops Internet Protocol-based (IP) phone systems that deliver new capabilities and efficiency to small and medium-size businesses (SMB), today announced a new software release for their suite of telephone systems. Allworx System 7.0 and the Allworx 9224 IP phone will be previewed at the INTERNET TELEPHONY  Conference and EXPO East, February 2-4, 2009 at the Miami Beach Convention Center in Miami, Florida.

The Allworx 9224 Phone is today’s premier high-fidelity wideband phone bringing the latest advancements in IP telephony to today’s business leaders. Supporting between 24 and 96 programmable function keys (PFK’s) with the additional Tx 92/24 Expander units, the Allworx 9224 can support up to 96 PFK’s and deliver a multitude of call appearances, line appearances, speed dials, busy lamp fields and an array of other functions.

Allworx will also be offering a ‘sneak-peak’ of the new Allworx System Software 7.0, currently scheduled for channel availability in Q2 2009. The Allworx System Software 7.0 release brings the following capabilities to the Allworx family of telephone systems:

Class of Service — easily create groups of users with pre-defined dialing privileges, handset preferences and user templates

Programmable Dial Plan — match existing extensions to DID numbers, reassign features and much more

Call Intrusion — call center supervisors can now silently monitor or barge in on agent phones
