The Franco-American company, which competes with market leader Sweden's Ericsson and China's Huawei, also confirmed its 2011 goals to grow faster than the overall market and reach an operating margin of 5 per cent or more.
The revenue was in line with a Reuters poll of 15 analysts, who forecast revenues of 3.75 billion euros.
Analysts had expected an adjusted operating profit of 27 million euros.
