MUMBAI, INDIA: Alcatel-Lucent today announced that it appointed Munish Seth as country head for its Indian business.
Munish takes over from Vivek Mohan, who now heads Alcatel-Lucent’s global services business.
Munish will report to Rajeev Singh-Molares, president of the Asia-Pacific region, said a press release.
Munish brings 20 years of expertise and experience in the telecoms industry. Before his new position, Munish had been in charge of Customer Solution and Support for Alcatel-Lucent’s Asia-Pacific region.
Prior to that he was chief technical officer and director Bids and Proposals for Alcatel-Lucent, India.
He has been instrumental in strengthening Alcatel-Lucent position in India by introducing innovative business models, and helping service providers maximize technology investments. Prior to joining Alcatel-Lucent, Munish was chief technical officer at Tekelec.
“India is a key market for Alcatel-Lucent and for which we need a strong leader. I am also confident that Munish will strengthen India’s contribution to our global business,” said Rajeev Singh-Molares, Alcatel-Lucent’s president for the Asia-Pacific region.
Munish holds a BE in electronics and communication engineering and also a master’s degree in business administration, the release added.
