Alcatel to launch its Omni Series in India

BANGALORE: Alcatel will be launching its Omni Series of products in India

next month. Alcatel’s Omni Series of products have already been launched in

Singapore, Europe and US. This was disclosed by Sunil Arora, Country Manager,

Alcatel in an exclusive chat with the CNS.

"Around six to seven Omni Series of products including omnistack and

omniswitches will be launched in India next month", he said. The company

primarily aims at targeting the call center market with its new products.

"We also have plans to launch an aggressive marketing drive to market the

new products in India as these products already exist in the Indian market under

different banners and we face tough competition from companies like Cisco,

Nortel and Enterasys.

"We will launch extensive road shows and a countrywide campaign to

market our products " said Arora. "But we are very confident that our

products would do very well in India as our products are IP side products and

are highly reliable", claimed Arora. After, India the next stop for these

Omni Series products would be the SAARC countries where also the company has

plans to launch massive marketing drives to win more customers.
