Airtel wins top honors at ICT awards 2008

NEW DELHI: A telecom major, Bharti Airtel, today announced that has won top honors at the seventh edition of the Frost & Sullivan ICT awards 2008.

It bagged three Market Leadership Awards in the large enterprise telecom Services, wholesale data services and mobile service categories, said a press release.

The other 5 major categories at the Frost & Sullivan ICT Awards 2008 were enterprise communication, conferencing, telecom services, IT security, IT services and contact center applications.

The awards recognize the companies that have pushed the boundaries of excellence, rising above the competition and demonstrating outstanding performance across India, the release added.

The Award recipients for each category are chosen based on detailed research and rigorous analysis by the analyst team at Frost & Sullivan, tracking various ICT markets on a regular basis.
