To compete with Jio's latest offering that's giving either extra data or Rs 50 discount on plans, Airtel has upgraded the validity on its Rs 448 and Rs 509 prepaid recharge plans. The Rs 448 plan comes with unlimited voice calls and 1GB data per day and the validity is now 82 days, which means a total of 82GB data. The earlier validity for this plan was 70 days and this revamped plan is available for all Airtel prepaid users. Airtel’s Rs 448 plan works for 3G and 4G data connections.

Airtel’s Rs 509 plan was initially launched in December with a validity of 84 days. This has now been increased 91 day validity, which means 91GB data in total. Under the plan, users get unlimited voice calls, 1 GB daily data, free roaming and 100SMS per day.

As part of its Happy New Year 2018 plan, Jio has revised all its existing 1GB data plans. The telco now offers either 50 per cent more data or has cut down the tariff of the plan by Rs 50.

Furthermore, all the Reliance Jio’s current recharge plans priced at Rs 198, Rs 398, Rs 448 and Rs 498 will now offer 1.5 GB of 4G data per day and have validity of 28 days, 70 days, 84 days and 91 days respectively.
