Airtel offers free roaming at Singapore Formula 1

NEW DELHI,INDIA: Bharti Airtel Ltd., an integrated telecom services provider, today announced that it has partnered with SingTel, the official sponsor of the Singapore Formula 1, to offer all Airtel customers free incoming calls while in Singapore on the race weekend.

This is an exclusive offering from Bharti Airtel for the Inaugural 2008 Formula 1 SingTel Grand Prix being held on September 28, 2008, said a press release.

It stated that all the Airtel customers who would be visiting Singapore from September 25 to September 29, 2008 would be able to enjoy free incoming calls in Singapore.

According to the release the offer would be open to the Airtel users in Singapore if they manually select SingTel’s network on their handset. It is open to both postpaid and prepaid customers.

The existing international roaming tariff for all incoming calls on the SingTel network is Rs. 52 per minute for postpaid customers and Rs. 50 per minute for Prepaid customers, the release added.
