NEW DELHI, INDIA: Telecom major Bharti Airtel, announced on Wednesday that it has expanded its premium international toll free services from 80 countries for its enterprise customers in India.
The services would enable enterprises to offer a convenient and cost effective way to their overseas customers, business partners and employees travelling abroad, to communicate with them, through an international toll free number, said a press release.
The most significant benefit of this service for enterprises is that the cumulative billing is done in Indian rupees, instead of expensive foreign currencies, that is the case when calls are routed through international operators, it added.
It features superior voice quality and enables customers to follow standard dial plan in their respective country, making it easy to remember.
David Nishball, president, Enterprise Services, Bharti Airtel, said, “We believe Airtel’s international toll free services can create enhanced business opportunities for our enterprise customers in India by enabling them to offer easy and convenient access to their customers and partners across the globe.”
He added that this offering is in line with Airtel’s commitment to provide its customers with effective need based services.
Airtel is offering two types of premium international toll free services – a) international inbound toll free service - free phone access for global users to call into India and b) international outbound toll free service - free phone access for callers in India to call international destinations, the release added.
