Airtel doubles broadband speed offering

BANGALORE, INDIA: Bharti Airtel has launched a new broadband plan that offers up to 4Mbps speed. This is an easy zero cost upgradeable offer for the existing customers, said Airtel.


The Impatience Plan offers 4Mbps speed, with a starting price of Rs 899 per month. Under this plan, the users, at a starting range of Rs 899 per month, can avail 4Mbps and 6GB data download at the rate of 4mbps.

Similarly, the Impatience 1099 Speed plan gives 4 Mbps till 12GB, at the price of Rs.1099. Plan Impatience 1399 provides speed of 4 Mbps till 25GB and costs Rs.1399 per month, while the Plan Impatience 1799 gives the speed of 4 Mbps till 50GB at a cost of Rs. 1799.

After crossing the allowed limit, the speed comes to the Unlimited Data Transfer Plan at 256 kbps speed. It promises to provide double broadband speeds of 512 Kbps to 1 Mbps and 1 Mbps to 2 Mbps at no extra cost.

Speaking to the media, K Srinivas, Joint President-Telemedia Services, Bharti Airtel said, “We are delighted to provide superior Internet browsing experience to our customers through these high speed plans. Classifying broadband experience in India has been the pivotal to Airtel’s strategy for Broadband. These initiatives bring in a new paradigm for broadband in India”.

The Impatience Plans is now available for the Delhi, Noida, Gurgaon, Mumbai, Chennai and Bangalore subscribers. The roll-out of the plan will be completed by June 2010 pan India.
