NEW DELHI, INDIA: Bharti Airtel and state-owned BSNL have invited bids to outsource fiber network management, reports The Economic Times.
2010 to see higher demand for bigger bandwidth pipes
Airtel, which has 1,20,00 km-plus of inter-city optic fibre cable network and BSNL, who owns the largest fibre network in the country, comprising about 600,000 km route, are, as per reports, set to close the deal before the end of this fiscal.
The report further adds that both the deals are estimated to be worth up to $1 billion over a five-year period.
