Airtel, Aircel to bring iPhone 4 to India

BANGALORE, INDIA: Bharti Airtel Ltd, India's top mobile phone carrier, said on Monday it would launch Apple's iPhone 4 in India in the coming months. This was followed by the announcement by smaller rival Aircel, which also said it is bringing iPhone 4 to India.

However, both the companies did not give more details or the date of launch.

Interestingly both the telecom players used the same wordings in their statement.

"iPhone 4 is the most innovative phone in the world, featuring Apple's stunning Retina display, the highest resolution display ever built into a phone and FaceTime, which makes video calling a reality. For further information, please visit www.airtel.in. For more information on iPhone 4 please visit http://www.apple.com/iphone," read the statements.

So, is it that secretive Apple itself drafted the statement and sent it to them?!
