AIG company signs outsourcing deal with Satyam

BANGALORE:US based provider of insurance software and solutions, AIG Technologies, a member company of American International Group, Inc. (AIG) has signed a multi year outsourcing agreement with Indian software major, Satyam Computer Services.



As part of non-disclosure agreement with the client, Satyam refused to divulge the value of the deal, although confirmed that any 3 plus year is a multi year. "It can be a five or even a seven years deal," said the spokesperson of the company.



Satyam will be the exclusive, licensed provider for WINS and WINS Digital software customizations and modifications to AIG Technologies (AIGT) and its customers.



AIGT’s WINS Digital system is a Web-based property-casualty insurance processing application. It is based on the WINS system, which has been processing insurance business for more than 20 years. The application is designed to help insurers increase efficiency throughout the insurance life cycle, from quoting and policy issuance to claims processing and regulatory reporting.

Ram Mynampati, President of Commercial & Healthcare businesses, Satyam said, "We look forward to providing software customizations and modifications to AIGT’s WINS® clients to help them further streamline workflow and increase operating efficiencies. Our agreement with AIGT will not only expand our presence in the property-casualty arena, but also our ability to service the technology demands of today’s leading insurers."
