Agrani Convergence, Accton in distribution agreement

NEW DELHI: Agrani Convergence Ltd. (ACL), a player in the Indian technology

retailing business, and Accton India, provider of value-added networking

solutions, have entered into a distribution agreement. As a result of this

agreement, Agrani will be the national distributor for all the products of

Accton, with a special focus on retail-oriented products suitable for the SOHO

segment. This tie up will focus on products such as wireless access points,

wired and wireless Ethernet cards, unmanaged switches, VoIP products, internet

gateways, USB adapter, etc.






Accton's Singapore-based vice president (Strategic Marketing), Ah-Sin Ang, along
with Milind Kamat, India Country Manager formalized the agreement with Pankaj

Mohindroo, CEO, Agrani and Rajiv Pathak vice president operations, Agrani.






Speaking on the agreement, Ang said, "There is great synergy between Agrani’s
nationwide branded channel and our comprehensive innovative and affordable

products. With Agrani’s deep penetration plan in the retail and distribution

segment, I am confident that this alliance will add value to Accton’s retail

strategy in India."






Mahindroo referred to the agreement as a "welcome step forward by Agrani,
on the path to achieving the vision of leveraging its deep and wide network and

its brands to encash other retailing, reselling and distribution

opportunities."
