Agilent launches new services organization

NEW DELHI: Agilent Technologies has announced the launch of Agilent

Technologies International Pvt. Ltd., a fully owned subsidiary, and its first

IT-enabled services organization in India.

Located at Gurgaon, the facility will provide product development,

engineering services and support, and transaction processing for the global

operations of the company. Equipped with state-of-the-art technology and

world-class infrastructure, the facility is supported by high-speed network

links into Agilent offices worldwide and has '24 hours by 7 days' capabilities.

Agilent Technologies India Operations vice president, Anita Manwani said,

"India is among the emerging economies in Asia and it is continuing to

spend on infrastructure modernization. It also has a large pool of high-quality

technical professionals. That is why we are setting up the services organization

to increase our presence in India. We have already hired more than 70 staff in

the new facility and are in the process of ramping our operations."

Agilent Technologies India president, Kewal Khanna said, "With Agilent

Technologies International, our presence in the country is strengthened to take

advantage of the new opportunities in the communications and life sciences

industries."
