Agilent appoints Valluri as president & CGM

NEW DELHI: Agilent Technologies Inc. today announced the appointment of Venkatesh Valluri, as its president & country general manager (CGM) for India.

Valluri takes over responsibilities from Kewal Khanna, who retired recently after a long sales management career with HP/Agilent.

Possessing over 20 years experience in management roles, Valluri is currently the managing director of Agilent Technologies International (ATI). He will continue in that role as well as assume responsibilities as the India CGM.

"Since Venkatesh came on board as Managing Director for ATI, the scope of work there has grown manifold. His appointment as the CGM will strengthen Agilent's entire operations in India, owing to his rich cross-industry experience and management exposure," said Bill Sullivan, president & chief executive officer of Agilent.

Valluri joined Agilent in December 2003. Prior to joining Agilent, he spent 10 years with General Electric in various leadership roles in India and Europe. He also spent nine years with Raychem Corp. in roles spanning Sales, Marketing & Manufacturing for the Defense and Industrial Electronics markets. He holds a bachelor's degree in Technology in Electronics and an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad.
