Affordable 5-inch phablet from Samsung soon?

BANGALORE, INDIA: Are you impressed by the features and specifications of the Samsung Galaxy Note II and Galaxy S III? But, is the price of these smartphones holding you back? Then there soon may be a Samsung phablet you could afford. According to media reports, Samsung is planning to unveil an affordable 5-inch phablet called Galaxy Grand soon.

Samsung Galaxy Grand, which is code named Baffin and is carrying the model number SHV-E270S/ SHV-E270K has already cleared FCC (Federal Communications Commission) certifications, according to a report on TechKiddy. According to the report, the phablet is expected to resemble the Galaxy S III.

Also, according to a report on Android Authority, Galaxy Grand will feature a 1.4GHz quad-core Exynos 4412 processor, LTE connectivity, NFC, 2100mAh battery, Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean in addition to that 5-inch LCD display with 800 x 480 resolution. The report also mentions that the phablet will not be an entry level model.

Samsung has unveiled the mini version of its Galaxy S III last month, so one may say that these rumors could be true. However, these reports cannot be confirmed at this point.
