AdventNet launches OpManager 5 for SMBs

PLEASANTON: AdventNet, the leading provider of network and systems
management software has released ManageEngine OpManger 5, comprehensive
enterprise network management software for small and medium enterprises. It
offers cost-effective WAN and LAN monitoring, fault and performance
management functionality across networks, systems, and applications.

ManageEngine OpManager is an integrated network monitoring and analysis
tool that offers advanced network management functionality with simple
applicability to system administrators and IT managers. It provides all the
critical information about the networks, systems, and applications on a
single console with an integrated view of the network that is highly
productive and involves almost no maintenance costs.

Key variables such as interface traffic, CPU, memory, and disk
utilization can be monitored in real-time or as part of a long-term trending
analysis. In addition, thresholds can be set to proactively monitor these
variables and notify administrators by e-mail and SMS when abnormal usage is
detected.

The enhancement in ManageEngine OpManager 5 includes:

  • New Web interface that allows remote access to OpManager from any Web
    Browser
  • Over 160 out-of-the-box graphs to manage applications, such as Oracle,
    MS SQL, MS Exchange, Lotus Notes, and to manage Cisco devices and common
    RMON variables
  • Graph data displayed in tables
  • Cisco Trap Management
  • Interface, device and service availability reports: graphs and reports
    are conveniently rolled up into daily, weekly, and monthly or custom time
    periods
  • Disk-partition management. Thresholds for each partition can be set to
    configure notification
  • CPU, memory and disk usage details for non-SNMP devices
  • Threshold support for identifying degradations in device response time
    and service response time
  • Real-time view of WAN links
  • All interfaces availability report

With a fully enhanced web interface, OpManager 5 offers administrators
the flexibility of managing their entire network from any web browser and
support for managing applications like SQL Server, MS-Exchange, Lotus Notes,
Oracle, etc has made it a total or complete IT management tool in the
