Adobe intros Creative Cloud

NEW DELHI, INDIA: Adobe Systems has announced the launch of Adobe Creative Cloud in Indian market and said that it is the biggest transformation in company's 30 years of existence.

The new offering would be available for promotional price at Rs 2,885 per month till April 30, 2013. The company will also launch Creative cloud for consumers while it is expected to announce enterprise version in May this year.

It is a membership-based service that provides access to download and install Creative Suite desktop applications, Photoshop Lightroom, Adobe Muse, Adobe Muse, and Adobe Edge tools and services and integration with Photoshop Touch apps. The new service platform, the company believes, is its next step ahead.

Adobe South Asia MD Umang Bedi said that availability of low-cost creative software is one of the painpoints in India. With attractive pricing, Bedi feels that it could bring piracy down.

"The new Adobe Creative Cloud gives access to world's best tools and facilitates consumers to synchronize and store on cloud and allows instant updates," he said.

The company, he said, offers Creative Cloud together with ability to manage licenses and additional storage as well as expert support services. "At a time when economy is not in good health and FDI is all-time low, customers want opex-based products rather than go for capex regime," Bedi said.

The value preposition of new offering, the software company said, includes, upgrades, apps installed and it can run on desktop, can install both Mac and Windows desktop apps.

The company, as a part of its commitment, said that it will enhance its capabilities within next six months.

Adobe Creative Cloud can purchased at special introductory offer for Rs 34,620 till April 30, 2013. It will available at Rs 48,480 (without offer) per user for one year plan through Adobe's resellers' network.
