Post-acquisition, Ajinkya will become part of Adecco India and will operate as Adecco’s industrial staffing division headed by C R Kale, the founder director of Ajinkya.

The acquisition will give Adecco significant foothold in the burgeoning blue collar temping market in India.

“Blue collar temping is the next big thing in the Indian HR arena given the all round industrial growth. But the segment lacks a single large player at the national level to deliver the volumes required by India’s economic growth. The acquisition assumes relevance as it weds Ajinkya’s expertise in the blue collar space with Adecco’s nationwide footprint,” said Sudhakar Balakrishnan, CEO of Adecco India and Middle East.

Asked about Adecco’s presence in IT, Sudhakar said, “We have separate wing for IT recruitment and have clients like HP and Cisco. We have what is called value staffing where we do temporary staffing for short-term projects etc.”
