ACTT to organize 3-day expo

TRICHY, INDIA: Association For Computer Traders, Trichy (ACTT) is planning to organize a three-day expo between Oct 2-4 in Trichy.

The expo will be conducted for the fourth time here. Though not finalized, the association has an agenda for conference. H Wilson, President, ACTT, said, “We have planned for 50 stalls, of which more than 40 stalls are already booked. We are expecting more than 10,000 visitors during the expo.

In addition to laptops/desktops and other IT peripherals, we are plan­ning to feature multi­media products and telecom products in this expo.”

This time, around 23 stalls are booked by partners, 17 stalls are booked by partners through vendors. Last time, the expo had 44 stalls and registered business worth Rs 40 lakh with a footfall of around 9,000. The association is hopeful that the festive mood will have a positive impact. The expo is expected to register business worth Rs 50 lakh.

S Sudharshan, VP, said, “We are expecting good turnouts from educational institutions. We expect the Netbooks would be the most-sought-after product in the expo.”

Kuberan, former President, ACTT, said, “After Coimbatore and Madurai it is the IT market of Trichy which is expanding. Even during the recession time, almost all the partners recorded positive growth. We expect this expo to be of great success.” High turnouts are expected from student community, as Trichy is one of the educational hubs.
