AHMEDABAD, INDIA: Representatives from 15 IT channel partner associations from all across Gujarat will gather in Ahmedabad on June 14 to discuss the formation of a common IT body, under which all IT associations in the state would converge.
This would be something akin to the Confed-ITA, which is an umbrella body of associations in Tamil Nadu.
Uttar Pradesh also boasts of a similar association called UP Computer Dealer Welfare Association (UPCDW).
The initiative in Gujarat has been taken by Ahmedabad Computer Merchants Association (ACMA), which is hosting the 'All Gujarat Associations' meet.
The meet will see participation by associations like South Gujarat IT Association (SITA), Baroda Information Technology Association (BITA), Ankleswar/Bharuch IT Association (ABITA), Junagadh Information Technology Association (JITA), Association of Bhavnagar Computer Dealer (ABCD), Mehsana Computer Merchants Association (MCMA), Surendera Computer Merchants Association (SCMA), Palanpur Information Technology Association (PITA), Rajkot Computer Traders Association (RCTA), Valsad Association of Infotech Company (VAITCOM), Vapi Information Technology Association (VITA), Morbi Computer Association, Gandhinagar Computer Hardware Association, Jamnagar Information Technology Association (JITA).
