The new office will focus on tier two cities in Maharashtra and Goa.

Harish Kohli, general manager, Sales & Marketing, Networking PC Client Group, Acer, said, "This is part of Acer's expansion plan aimed at furthering our presence in tier two cities across India.”

“We believe that most India's economic growth in 2006 will emerge from these locations and it is imperative we are well positioned to further this growth and develop a market for Acer's existing and future products across the region. The new office will also be a valuable source of support for our channel partners in the West," he added in a statement.
