Acer unveils Android smartphone Liquid

BANGALORE, INDIA: As we see Android operating system gaining momentum day by day, Acer Smart Handheld Business Group (SHBG) today added another smartphone into its cart named, Liquid, based on Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and Android 1.6 OS.

The latest phone is incorporated with latest software innovations and single touch ultra-fluid user interface, which allows users to get all new mobile experience including web browsing, social media integration, audio and video streaming.

Richard Tan, country head India, Acer SHBG said, "Liquid exemplifies speed in style. With ellipse curves and a slim body shape, Liquid will please the style-seeking smartphone consumer. "

Acer Liquid, priced at Rs 24,900 (with 2 GB micro SD), is the first Wide-VGA smartphone in the market benefiting from the latest release of the Android 1.6 Operating System (aka Donut) and is perhaps the most compelling Android smartphone in the market equipped with the powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon processor.

This phone also holds a promise for the future: the promise of an abundance of new applications on Android Smart Handhelds - games, professional applications and web applets that will enrich the end user experience.

Powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, Acer Liquid provides instant access to web pages, smooth streaming of videos or music, and instant response from popular mail, maps and search applications.
