Acer ties up with neoteric Infomatique

BANGALORE, INDIA: Acer India Ltd, a provider in PC brand, today announced that it has tied up with Neoteric Infomatique Ltd to launch of a new focus line of business – the ‘options and accessories business’.

The tie up focuses to establish and take forward their options and accessories business in India, which would essentially comprise the Acer branded accessories like Battery packs, adapters, memory modules, DVD Super multi drives, backpacks etc, said a press release.

Neoteric would drive this business for Acer independently using its network of partners across the country in close coordination with Acer’s product team.

“Taking into account the large installed base of Notebook customers we have in India today, we believe that there exists a huge pool of consumers who are keen to buy genuine Acer branded accessories and add-ons,” said, S Rajendran, chief marketing officer, Acer India.

He added that the entry into the options and accessories business would help Acer address this market in a focused manner and help provide consumers with quality offerings in this space besides opening up new avenues of business for the company and its partners.

“The options market as of now in India should be anywhere in the region Rs 100 crore as of today. The alliance with neoteric would help Acer leverage their vast experience in this field and widespread network of partners focused on this business to effectively address market demands,” Rajendran commented.
