Acer India will soon launch a program for its channels under the title Acer

Ace Club. Aimed at improving direct communication between the company and its

channels, the company would launch a B2B portal to facilitate the communication

process. However, Acer Peripherals India managing director Sandeep Nair refused

to divulge details of the program.

Currently, Acer operates through its six distributors in India: SES

Computers, Rashi Peripherals, Tech-Pacific, Rahul Distributors, Sanghvi Infotech

and Wellium. The total number of channels work up to more than 5,000 says Nair.

Therefore there is a great need to establish direct communication with these

resellers. This initiative is also in line with Acer’s new identity–Acer

Communication and Multimedia. The company has launched a program www*com where

one of the stated objectives is to increase internal communications. Besides,

Acer is expanding its scope of operations and is planning to launch a slew of

products based on convergence of technologies. Direct communication would help

the company educate its channels about the new technology products.
