Acer launches Acer Altos 330

BANGALORE: Acer India has launched its new entry-level server for workgroups and small and medium businesses, Acer Altos 330, for Rs 59,990 in India.

Acer Altos 330 is a single server system based on the Intel 440BX AGPset chipset, with ISA (2), PCI (4) and AGP (1) slots integrated onboard. The server supports the entire 100 MHz FSB range of Intel Pentium III CPUs, up to 750 MHz. A 10/100 Mbps Ethernet and video display controllers are integrated with the system for immediate network deployment. Alternately, one can also upgrade Acer Altos 330 to a configuration of 9GB Ultra2 SCSI HDD with SCSI controller in lieu of 10GB IDE HDD for just Rs 10,000 more. Acer Altos 330 is equipped with advanced server management, online management and server recovery via an intuitive graphic user interface.

The Acer Altos 330 also offers InocuLAN Antivirus Software for protection from viruses on the server and the new server has three-year warranty. Also the new server contains a set of server tools for server management. These tools allow the MIS to monitor and manage server environment via local area network (LAN) and over the Internet.
