Acer enters home PC market with Aspire G600

BANGALORE: Acer rolls out its latest desktop PC, Aspire G600. With this launch Acer will mark its entry into the home segment in India.



Acer India, General Manager-Marketing, S Rajendran, "The Aspire G600 has been regarded as the leading home PC in Singapore, Malaysia and the Middle East. We decided to enter the retail segment after carefully studying the market reactions and the response to the multimedia PC."



The Acer Aspire G600 offers several features, such as the TV-tuner card, which receives and records TV programs while other PC applications are in use. The Audio DJ function allows users to listen to music without even having to turn on the computer. The three-in-one media bay allows transferring data from memory stick, SD and MMC (which are used in PDAs, digital cameras etc.) Wireless keyboard and mouse, with built in RF receiver.



The Aspire G600, a user friendly PC, allows users to easily access data and connect peripherals on external non-volatile media with its wide-range front access ports. The Aspire G600 is preloaded with Windows XP home edition and Norton Anti-virus. While the Intel P4 2.0 Ghz processor is priced at Rs 49,990 for a 15" monitor, a 17" monitor would cost Rs 10,000 more. It is also protected by a one-year warranty.
