LEXINGTON, USA: AccuRev Inc. has announced AccuRev 4.7 for process-centric software change and configuration management (SCCM), with major new scalability and personalized process visualization capabilities. These new capabilities enable enterprises to easily scale as development teams grow beyond thousands of users managing hundreds of thousands of assets.

AccuRev improves a development organization’s ability to fully understand the dynamic relationships between projects, and drives maximum software code reuse. AccuRev 4.7 further simplifies the orchestration of complex development processes and resource allocation for large enterprise teams through the following enhancements:

AccuRev 4.7 now allows development teams to utilize multiple commodity hardware servers for any combination of local and remote teams in order to scale efficiently to thousands of users. This flexible model for partitioning and distributing software development teams, build servers, and continuous integration environments enables teams to easily implement their optimal distributed development process on the fly without requiring time-consuming pre-planning, or require larger hardware as team size and/or software assets grow.

* Increased Support for Large Workspaces

AccuRev 4.7 now supports the ability to efficiently manage hundreds of thousands of files in a single workspace, enabling growth as software development projects increase in scope.

* Visual Filtering for Departments, Teams and Individuals

AccuRev 4.7 introduces a breakthrough in visual scalability and usability by allowing development teams to instantly filter very large, concurrent process structures that may contain thousands of unique projects, teams, and developers. Additionally, with a single click, managers can see all the development activity related to the work being done by their team, or under active development.

Michael Madden, vice president, engineering, Avid Technology, Inc. said, “We are using AccuRev to support Agile and non-Agile development processes, as well as streamline code sharing between different geographically distributed teams for hundreds of users. AccuRev 4.7 provides more flexibility and enables our teams to have higher performance than under our previous mastership-based SCCM solution.”

David Jabs, vice president, engineering, AccuRev said, “Development organizations want to grow as their business drives them, not as their SCCM solution is partitioned. With AccuRev 4.7, you can scale AccuRev using multiple commodity servers without giving up the ease of use that comes with utilizing a large single server solution.”
