BANGALORE: Aptech Training Ltd., plans to make its flagship course Aptech
Certified Computer Profession (ACCP) standardized and launch it globally during
the first week of March. The ACCP world program would ensure, a single
uniformed, courseware across all its centers in the 52 countries, Aptech is
present in.
Aptech managing director, Pramod Khera said, "A uniform courseware was
the need of the hour after establishing in 52 countries. We are also planning to
make the ACCP course credit based. A lot of universities have acknowledged our
course and this would help students to gain credits. A common placement cell
would ensure job opportunities across the globe based on the availability to the
candidate."
The three-year course, ACCP, is being customized in terms of language and
content within the standards in each country. "We are making the courses
even modular, so that students can have the flexibility to take the modules in
any country they are in. The company is also engaged in building what is called
Instructorless Interactive Online Mentoring (IIOM) program. This is more on an
ASP model and would help the student take it at a leisure time. About 100
professionals are involved in building this model."
Being present in 52 countries makes Aptech the largest IT training company in
the world to present in number of countries. It has also entered in to Iran
taking the tally to 53 and becoming the only Indian company to enter the
country. Aptech has about 240 centers outside India, representing roughly 10
percent of its total centers. It plans to double this in the overseas lands
within the next 12 months. The company has ear marked Rs eight to 10 crore to
invest in overseas market.
Seven geographies has been identified the company to give in-depth focus for
its education and training business globally. This includes South Asia, Western
Africa, South Africa, Latin America, Central Asia, Easter Europe and the belt
containing Vietnam, Thailand and Indonesia, etc.
"These geographies are identified based on the demand of IT training and
education. Although we have centers in all these geographies, we would invest on
setting up on our centers and giving thrust to all courses and help grow our
business globally," adds Khera
Last year the company’s international business contributed 15 percent of
its total revenue in IT training and education. It is foreseen that within the
next three years, international business would contribute 50 percent of its
total revenue.
Apart from catering to the growth of its IT education, catering basically to
the retail market, Aptech also plans to take its Multimedia training to 20
countries within the current 12 months. It is right now present in seven
countries.
