Accenture moves 300 US jobs to India

BANGALORE: Global management consulting and technology services company, Accenture has moved its global human resource support staff of about 300 jobs to India. The department was earlier operating out of its head quarters in the US. This team supports only the internal HR needs of the company.



The consulting major has set up a 5,000-seat BPO facility in the outskirts of Bangalore. It is on a major recruitment drive and has been hiring in hundreds in the last few months.



The company has about 80,000 representatives across 47 countries in the world generating revenue of $11.6 billion for its financial year ended August 2002.
