A recruitment firm launches a site for job seekers

CHENNAI: Jobs DB India Private Limited, a subsidiary of Hong Kong-based Jobs

DB Inc, an Internet-based recruitment company, has launched a site called www.JobsDB.com.

The site gives Indian job seekers access to updates on Indian and international

career prospects. A job seeker can post his resume on the web and can get

alerted on job vacancies across a range of industries. The company has offered a

free trial package to companies for the next three months at its site. Already,

150 companies have registered at jobsdb.com.

"The Internet will change the way recruitment is done and we will use

our expertise to anticipate change for employers and employees," said Dr

Komattu C John, Managing Director, Jobs DB India. The site contains features

like Resume Wizard to help write resumes, unlimited submissions of bio data,

brief profile for employers to scan, facility to de-activate and re-activate

resumes as and when necessary etc. The site also has multiple search fields,

which enables quicker and simpler searches.

The ‘Job Alert’ feature enables a job seeker to track the emerging

vacancies in their desired areas of job interest. There are provisions for

online editing, clipboard function to clip or unclip selected or applied job

advertisements and a record of job search activities for future reference. Jobs

DB Inc has branches in Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and

Taiwan. The company claims to have over 50,000 job seeker members registered at

the site, attracting close to 20 million hits a month.
