TAIPEI: March 2010 has been very good for A-Data Technology, with revenues zooming to an almost three-year high at NT$4.83 billion (US$153 million) during the month. Statistics revealed by the company has pointed out that DRAM modules shipments during the month was also a record.
The company has said that its long-term supply contracts with chipmakers have made it advantageously positioned so as to benefit from the tight PC-memory market driven by the demand side.
The DRAM modules segment has brought in numbers to the tune of a 65.54 per cent rise in sales. The company has said that the March revenues represent a 51.2 per cent growth sequentially, and a 142.9 per cent rise from the year ago periods.
While monthly sales from DRAM products stood at NT$3.17 billion, up from NT$1.845 billion in February, the NAND flash segment brought tin NT$1.67 billion in March, up 23.13 per cent compared to the previous month.
It has also been pointed out by industry reports that A-Data's accumulated revenues for the first quarter stood at NT$11.73 billion, up 101.7 per cent from 2009. While DRAM modules accounted for 58.99 per cent of its first-quarter revenues, NAND flash devices accounted for the rest. Meanwhile, the company has charted out plans to push for record annual revenues in 2010.
