The new possible agreement is part of A-Data’s measures and plans to expand in emerging markets including India, China, Russia, Mexico and Brazil.

According to a Digitimes report, the new forthcoming agreement would help the memory module maker to expand in the Indian market place. A sources at A-Data have been quoted as saying that the company in its new India foray would look at promoting flash memory cards and USB drives via the India-based giant’s agencies. In its India venture, A-Data Technology might also include DRAM modules in its vast product range soon.

The India entry will be seen as a major move by the market players. Going by its pace, A-Data seems to be very keen on making its presence felt across the region and Latin America. The company recently added new branch offices in South Korea and Mexico, in addition to its existing 11 sales spots overseas, said the report.

Meanwhile, company chairman Simon Chen swept away fears of the impact of NAND flash shortage phenomenon by saying that A-Data has secured sufficient NAND flash supply. It has been pointed out that procurement from upstream continued at the same pace earlier this year despite a supply shortage.
