Women technologists in the Delhi-NCR region are building a community with the objective to inspire women to pursue long-term careers in technical fields

NEW DELHI, INDIA: In an interesting turn of events, women technologists in the Delhi-NCR region are building a community with the objective to inspire women to pursue long-term careers in technical fields.

The initiative being led by the Anita Borg Institute (ABI), a non-profit organization, which will allow women technologists including professionals and students to build their network, discover opportunities and receive career guidance.

As a start, ABI has organized one-day networking reception on August 27, 2015, at ITC Maurya. The event is being sponsored by the American Express.

The session will have a keynote session by Debjani Ghosh, Vice President, Sales and Marketing Group and Managing Director, South Asia, Intel, a CEO Panel discussion on managing unconscious bias in the workforce and other leadership and technical sessions on current topics such as net neutrality and big data analytics.

The events planned over the next few days support the cause of diversity and inclusion-a theme very central to our strategy for attracting and retaining talent.
