A CIO changes hat: recycles his role

ADELAIDE, SOUTH AUSTRALIA: The Chief Information Officer of Visy Industries, which is claimed to be the world's largest privately-owned packaging, paper and recycling company has moved to SolveIT.

SolveIT Software Pty Ltd, a provider of enterprise software solutions for supply and demand optimisation and predictive modelling, announced that Roland Spitty has joined the company as Director of Supply Chain.

Roland is said to be experienced in delivering projects for supply chain optimization and business improvement. In his newly created position in Melbourne, Roland will oversee SolveIT Software’s offering for planning, scheduling, and supply chain optimization. As the press release shares, Roland said.

“I am looking forward to the establishment of SolveIT Software’s Melbourne office in the coming months and further expanding the company’s success and footprint.”

During the 2007-2008 financial year, Visy employed over 5,600 people, operated from 110 sites, manufactured more than one million tonnes of paper, and generated more than $2.3 billion in revenue.
