400 entries for TiE-ISB Connect 2007

HYDERABAD, INDIA: This year's TiE-ISB Connect event, a networking event for entrepreneurs and investors, will feature over 400 business plans.

Eminent business personalities to grace the event are Dr. Anji Reddy, chairman, Dr. Reddys Labs, N Prasad, Mylan Laboratories, Verne Harnish, Gazelles Inc, Dr. C. Rangarajan, chairman, Twelfth Finance Commission and former Governor of Andhra Pradesh and the Reserve Bank of India, Raghu Pillai, president & chief executive, Retail Operations and Strategy, Reliance Stores, Tom Campbell, Dean, Haas School of Business, UC Berkley and Dr. Jayaprakash Narayan.

The organizers have introduced six new tracks for the third edition of the event to be held from November 14-16 at the International School of Business in Hyderabad. Fifty venture capitalists would also be present at the event.

A total of 36 plans would be showcased at the event.

TiE, Hyderabad Chapter and the WCED jointly organize the annual event.

"Compared to last year, we recorded a significant increase in the business plans submission and we also expect multifold increase in the delegate attendance,’’ said J A Chowdary, president, TiE, Hyderabad.

"We are looking forward to see what is new, and provide feedback and ideas for future entrepreneurs. TiE and ISB is committed to make it a great event," said Prof. V. Chandrasekhar, executive director, Wadhwani Centre for Entrepreneurship Development (WCED) at the Indian School of Business.

Some of the venture capitalists to feature in the event are NEA IndoUS Ventures, Sandalwood Partners, DFJ Ventures, Google, Yahoo, Greylock Partners, Cannon Partners, Sequoia Capital, Light Speed Ventures, Seed Fund and others.
