3i Infotech ties up with Lanka-based insurer

MUMBAI, INDIA: 3i Infotech, a provider of IT solutions, today announced that Ceylinco Life, a life insurer based in Sri Lanka, has decided to upgrade to 3i Infotech's Kastle Treasury solution in order to meet the demands of their investment department to manage the financial assets in various funds.

Kastle Treasury is an integrated treasury management solution, covering several key areas such as foreign exchange, money, equity and their related derivative instruments, said a press release.

The modular architecture of Kastle Treasury was meticulously configured to meet Ceylinco’s requirements to swiftly support their treasury operations, the release added.

Narayan V, 3i Infotech's regional head for South Asia, said, “At 3i Infotech it is our constant endeavor to provide our customers with the latest and advanced technologies to enable them deliver services to their end-customers faster, better and in a more cost effective way.”

The solution would enable Ceylinco Life to take advantage of the product features like multi-currency bonds, floaters and inverse-floaters, IFRS recommendations for portfolio categorization etc, the release added.

Ceylinco Life had implemented an earlier version of the Kastle Treasury in 2003.
