3i Infotech bags Asian honour

BANGALORE: 3i Infotech, a global provider of IT solutions and services, recently won the 2005 Service Provider of the Year award, at the 9th Annual Asia Insurance Awards in Singapore. Constituted in 1997 to encourage and salute excellence in the insurance industry, the award recognizes the pioneering work, contribution and commitment to the industry worldwide.

A panel of 22 eminent persons comprising industry regulators, insurance CEOs and industry association heads from Asia and across the world, decided the awards across 14 categories of excellence for the insurance industry. Previous winners for the service provider category included PriceWaterhouseCoopers, IBM Insurance Group and Trowbridge Deloitte. The key criteria for selection included excellence in market understanding, product innovation and outstanding standards of service.
