3i Infotech automates dairy union

MUMBAI: IT solutions and services provider 3i Infotech today announced that a milk union in Sangli had chosen its ERP solution to automate its dairy's supply chain.

3i Infotech will enable the Rajarambapu Patil Milk Union in Islampur, Sangli, to automate its logistics -- from cattle feed and milk collection at the village-level dairy cooperative societies to chilling centers and processing across 400 collection centers, the company said.

3i Infotech's dairy management ERP will also capture detailed commercial and statistical data on veterinary services. Speaking on the implementation of the solution, Vinayak Patil, chairman, and B.P. Patil, managing director, Rajarambapu Patil Milk Union, said: "We evaluated various ERP solutions and found the dairy offering from 3i Infotech ideal for our requirements."

"The dairy is an important industry affecting the whole country; adopting technology is critical for increased productivity and increased competitiveness," said Manoj Kunkalienkar, executive director, 3i Infotech.

'ERP for dairy management' is specifically developed for the Indian dairy industry and provides a customized local language interface, it was stated.
