2nd APAC mobile learning meet in Nov

KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA: The 2nd Asia Pacific Mobile Learning and Edutainment Conference will be held on November 20 and 21, 2008 at Putra World Trade Centre, Kuala Lumpur. This year’s theme is to mobilise training.

Organised by LTT Global Communications Sdn Bhd in partnership with Mobile World, the conference is set to be attended by various government ministries and agencies, mobile service and device providers and principals, academicians, researchers, NGOs and other commercial enterprises.

Sponsored by MSC Malaysia and Open University of Malaysia, the event also sports Maxis Communications Berhad (Maxis) as Pinnacle Sponsor and Nokia, MOL and Mobile Wallet as Gold Sponsors. Among others on board include Zymax, Micxon, Money Tree Asia Pacific, Samsung, Motorola and CSL.

The conference will feature Graham Brown-Martin, founder and CEO of Handheld Learning Ltd (UK). The conference will cover topics relevant to the mobile ecosystem such as education and learning, content creation and innovation, convergence of mobile technology in areas of work and play and many more.

The conference is aimed at driving mobile learning adoption and innovation, making it an important networking venue for experts, practitioners and newcomers from all over the world and at the same time enabling participants to develop multinational and cross-industry contacts and partnerships, as well as to enhance their knowledge, expertise, and abilities.

A celebratory gala dinner – the Mobile World Star Awards and Gala Dinner – will be held on 21 November 2008, paying homage and celebrating the achievements, contributions and innovations of the mobile industry. The GoMobile Expo is open to the public from the 21 – 23 November at PWTC. The GoMobile 2008 Expo will present visitors to four unique zones – devices and accessories, innovation, learning and entertainment.
