2G trial in Tihar, says Delhi High Court

NEW DELHI, INDIA: Henceforth, the 2G spectrum allocation trial will be held in the premises of Tihar jail. This is because of scarcity of space at the Patiala Court, where the trial was being held all these days.

The Delhi High Court has said that the trial of all the 14 2G spectrum cases will be held in Tihar jail. The scam accused will meet the Chief Justice of Delhi High Court tomorrow.

After an administrative committee meeting today, the Delhi High Court issued a notification under Section 8 of the IPC. However, the lawyers have raised a concern over it.

Speaking to CIOL, Sahil Verma, a counsel for one of the accused,  said the court feels there is scarcity of space in the Patiala Court premises and hence issued a notification.
