2G: Mishra to be deposed today

NEW DELHI, INDIA: One of the CBI’s key witnesses Nripendra Mishra, former chairman of the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI), will be testified today at the special trial court.

As a TRAI head between 2006-2009, Mishra is said to be an important witness in alleged 2G spectrum scandal. It is learnt that defence lawyers had compiled a questionnaire.

Mishra’s deposition pertains to the National Telecom Policy (NTP) 1999. The defence lawyers are examining the technicalities of the previous policy that led to an alleged major telecom scandal.
