17th national e-governance conference to be held in Kerala

NEW DELHI, INDIA: The Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances, Government of India is organizing the 17th National Conference on e-Governance along with the Department of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India and State Government of Kerala on January 30-31, 2014.

the 17th National Conference on e-Governance based on the theme "Towards an Open Government" , will explore how use of ICT has transformed governance from the perspective of the beneficiaries of the services. It is an attempt at a reality check to ascertain the outcome of the services rendered and whether it has achieved the intended objectives of transparent, effective, responsive and accountable system of governance.

The National Conference on e-Governance has been providing a platform of meaningful interaction to policy makers, practitioners, industry leaders and academicians to deliberate, interact and recommend an actionable strategy for good governance and to improve the standard of services rendered to the common man. Health is the focus sector for the conference this time.

Papers are invited from administration, academia and industry on the theme of "e-Governance-Vision to Implementation" covering the following topics:

  • Best Practices in e-Governance: some selected projects
  • Leveraging emerging Technologies
  • Empowering Citizens: Process-centricity to Citizen Centricity
  • Framework for Replication-challenges in productisation of Applications
  • Business Process Re-engineering Human Capital in e-Governance
  • Evolving e-Government: Multiple Channels of e-Service Delivery

Submission of papers is open till December 1, 2013. Selected papers will be published in the compendium.
