150 content development jobs up for grabs

BANGALORE: Indian IT training major, Aptech Limited will be setting up a dedicated content outsourcing facility in Chennai. It presently has 100-seater content design development facilities in Mumbai and Chennai. The upcoming facility is to engage 150 content developers, visualisers, graphic artists and instructional designers in the first phase.



"There is a lot of interest amongst third party clients for good quality education content," said Pramod Khera, CEO and Managing Director, Aptech Limited. "At Aptech, we have evolved, over a period of time, significant capabilities for creating instructor-led content and also online content."



Nilesh Vani, Head of Learning Services at Aptech, added, "We have already executed outsourced orders for content development from reputed domestic and international clients like Citibank, Airtel, ITC and Crompton Greaves, to name a few. Content quality and timeliness in delivery are the prime focus which has resulted in a satisfied clientele".



Giving details on the new ODC at Chennai, VK Garg, Head of Content Development at Aptech, remarked, "We are planning to recruit more than 100 professionals over the next one year with competencies in multimedia technologies for SCORM and AICC compliant content development".



Learning Services, kick started in April, has clocked revenues in excess of Rs 4 crores in the first quarter of its operations. By the year 2005, Aptech Ltd. plans to bring in 20 per cent of its total revenues from content development work.
