BANGALORE: 01markets.com, Wipro Infotech's B2B service portal for IT, has
signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Dun & Bradstreet India
(D&B India) to authenticate the credentials of portal users during online
trading.
As per the agreement, the business credentials and risk profiles of all
portal users desiring to participate in online trade will be checked by D&B
India. As part of the procedure, a D&B D-U-N-S Number will be provided to
all participants.
The D&B D-U-N-S Number, is a nine digit information sequence that is used
by Fortune 500 companies and international firms to identify suppliers,
customers and trading partners. Over 60 million D&B D-U-N-S Numbers are
reportedly in use globally. Participants in 01markets will also be assigned a
D&B India Indicative Risk Score, a risk assessment tool customized for
Indian business conditions. These scores are based on financial and
non-financial parameters.

robust solution for assessing the credentials of participants on the portal.The
